Neo Telecom is a Streetwifi client. It is an independent Paraguayan internet provider (not part of any multinational telecom group) that has been building its fiber network in Alto Paraná since 2014, with presence in Ciudad del Este, Hernandarias, Presidente Franco and Minga Guazú, and is expanding into Asunción and its metropolitan area (InfoNegocios).
With Streetwifi, Neo brings community WiFi to the city of Asunción.
What Streetwifi adds for an ISP like Neo
Streetwifi runs on the ISP’s existing network: its customers’ routers radiate a public WiFi network, isolated from the home network with VLANs, that only uses the link’s spare capacity. Each customer’s contracted bandwidth is untouched.
- New revenue on infrastructure that is already deployed, with a fixed component plus revenue share.
- Coverage beyond the home for its customers, who can browse on the street.
- A portal with its brand and a real-time dashboard with traffic, users and node health.
Neo Telecom shows what we look for with every ISP: that the fiber network already reaching homes also stays with people on the street and generates new revenue for the operator. It’s the model we want to bring to Chile.
The same model, now in Chile
Neo joins Copaco and VOX among the Paraguayan operators working with Streetwifi. If you are an ISP in Chile and want to see how it works, check the offer for ISPs or write to us at hola@streetwifi.cl.
